Follow current developments and bring informed questions. Explain why an issue matters and how it connects to work you want to explore.

Investigate campus, research, service, or project opportunities. Prioritize what you can contribute and learn.

Create an involvement plan. Use mentor conversations to choose next steps, track commitments, and review the quality of your contribution.
Develop your direction
Practice explaining your interests and how your experiences inform what you want to explore next.

Meetings end with a useful next step. At the next check-in, discuss what you did, what you learned, and how it affects your plan.
